STW+ Guidelines

Standards and expectations for Scroll The Word STW+ members.

Our Mission

Scroll The Word exists to help people engage deeply with Scripture. STW+ members play an important role by creating groups, building studies, and fostering discussion that keeps the Bible at the center. These guidelines ensure the platform remains a welcoming, faith-centered space for everyone.

Content Standards

  • Scripture-centered. All studies, discussion topics, and articles should be rooted in or directly related to the Bible.
  • Doctrinally respectful. Scroll The Word serves Christians across traditions. Present your perspective thoughtfully and avoid disparaging other denominations or believers.
  • No spam or self-promotion. Do not use groups, studies, or articles primarily to promote products, services, or external platforms.
  • Original or properly attributed. If you reference another author's work, provide clear attribution. Do not post copyrighted material without permission.
  • Family-friendly. It should go without saying, that all content should be appropriate for a general audience. Avoid profanity, graphic imagery, and sexually explicit material.

Group Hosting Expectations

  • Active stewardship. Hosts are expected to maintain their groups — respond to join requests, moderate discussions, and keep study content current.
  • Responsible delegation. When granting leader permissions (invite, remove, manage studies, write articles), choose trusted members who will uphold these guidelines.
  • Respectful community. Foster a culture of grace and humility. Address disagreements with kindness and remove content or members that violate these standards.
  • Privacy. Respect the privacy of group members. Do not share personal information outside the group without consent.

Articles & Perspectives

  • Hosts and designated writers may publish articles visible to their group or, where applicable, the broader Scroll The Word community.
  • Articles should edify readers and contribute meaningfully to biblical understanding.
  • Scroll The Word reserves the right to unpublish articles that violate these guidelines.

Enforcement

Scroll The Word reserves the right to revoke Study Host status, remove content, or restrict access at any time for guideline violations. If you encounter content that you believe violates these guidelines, please report it through the app.

These guidelines may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Study Host features constitutes acceptance of any changes.
