Welcome to Scroll The Word (“the App”). By accessing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Post content that is obscene, hateful, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
Use the App to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited material.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise interfere with the App’s operation.
Violate any applicable law or regulation.

3. User Content

Any content you create in the App (notes, highlights, reflections, perspectives, comments) is stored as a convenience to you. By posting content publicly (e.g. perspectives or group comments) you grant Scroll The Word a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content within the App.

While we provide a data export feature and take reasonable care of your data, Scroll The Word is not liable for content loss due to technical issues, account deletion, or changes to the App. We recommend keeping your own copies of anything important to you.

4. Groups & Group Communications

By joining a group you may receive emails sent by that group’s leaders through the Scroll The Word platform. You can manage or unsubscribe from group emails at any time through your group settings.

Group leaders and Scroll The Word + subscribers agree not to use group email tools to send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or content unrelated to the group’s faith-community purpose.

5. Scroll The Word + — Host Responsibilities

Subscribers with host-level access (“Hosts”) create and manage organisations, groups, studies, and communications for their members. By accepting host access, you agree to:

Use group email tools only for faith-community communications relevant to your group.
Upload only files and resources you have the right to distribute, free of malware or prohibited content.
Manage your organisation’s storage within your plan’s allocated limits.
Ensure your group’s content and conduct complies with these Terms and our STW+ Guidelines.

Scroll The Word reserves the right to remove uploaded files or suspend host access for violations.

6. Bible Text

Scripture text provided through the App is obtained from public domain sources, used with permission, or under licence. You may not extract or redistribute Bible text in bulk from the App.

7. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, and original code comprising the App are the property of Scroll The Word. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use them outside the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scroll The Word shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
